Week 14

Week 14

This week we all met up at Sunbury Hall to film the 'Brainstorming for ideas' scene. The scene involved everyone to be the actors; James, Lara, Damian and Nelson whilst Matt was the cameraman. We had to work quickly as news forecast announced of an incoming heavy storm and rain, which could potentially cause us some problems.

Due to lack of lighting available, James and Nelson headed to Bunnings Warehouse to purchase some cheap flood lights before heading to the hall. We found some cheap $10.00 lights and set them up when one of the flood lights lasted approximately 5 minutes before overheating.

At the end of the day we scheduled for next week to do some video editing and meet up at Sunbury Hall to record some voice overs.

Week 13

Week 13

This week James, Matt and Nelson will meet up with Jamie Hoe at St.Albans campus for special effects assistance and overall feedback. We scheduled for 10:00am on Tuesday morning.

We all met up in room 7.215 to show Jaime our footage for some input. Initially we wanted to re-film some of the scenes especially the sci-fi. After some positive feedback from Jaime we decided that the scene did not look as bad as we anticipated so we would keep the original and work on the color correction.

We booked the studio to take some photos of the spaceship and test different camera angles. Unfortunately we didn't have a dolly to work with so a motion video was out of the question. After we finished taking photos in the studio, we went back to 7.215 to capture the images.
